Brett Anderson, singer and mastermind of Suede, one of the most charming and infl uential bands of the 90s, probably the only band that provided marvellous melancholic Indiepop made in Britain to a new generation after The Smiths. They were imperious, ruling the charts and the music press with a sense of experimentation and style which was completely their own. Most of people see Suede’s music as a lifeline to another world and to this day their work stands alone in capturing an expressly British aesthetic. Listen back to Suede today you are overwhelmed by the sound of a group thrillingly ahead of the pack. Still, afterthe band split up and after two successful solo albums, Brett Anderson sticks to his style – clearly pointing out how much he still has to offer to the music community.
